Reviews Of Businesses And Organizations Are Starting to Pour In

As our Align Us review platform continues to take off and acquires more users and certified businesses, more reviews are being submitted, and some of them are raising eyebrows - but all are helpful.

Post

Since we officially launched the Align Us platform over the winter, our app has been growing steadily and faster than we expected. And along with our growth comes feedback and reviews.

We covered numerous businesses that have hit the headlines for questionable decisions they've made. Some of these businesses have alienated themselves from certain customer bases. And among these businesses that have fallen into this category, some are ok with their business decisions, while others have regretted it.

The first example that comes to mind is Bud Light and Anheuser-Busch. They created a marketing plan that consisted of sending a popular trans activist, Dylan Mulvaney, cases of Bud Light featuring her image.

The decision quickly made national headlines and faced harsh criticism from not only their Bud Light customers but many celebrities who disagreed with the premise.

Another example of a business decision came from Stanford University. They enacted a new language policy, the Elimination of Harmful Language Initiative, but then retracted their policy after it came under fire.

A third example, PNC Bank unexpectedly closed an account tied to Trump Jr. When the story made national headlines, PNC Bank suddenly reinstated the account and blamed it on a "technical glitch". However, many found that suspicious.

These are just three stories that we covered. There are countless other similar stories that we haven't directly written about that deserve more press.

But our growing user base is starting to chime in and let the world know what businesses are doing.

For example, Element 41, a Chardon, Ohio restaurant has been criticized for partnering up with a local church (yes, church) to promote a private drag show. The restaurant has been criticized and the restaurant was reviewed on our platform, which was neutral, but most importantly, factual.

An anonymous user wrote about Element 41, "Hosting drag brunches and supportive of drag story hour with a local church in Chesterland."

It's reviews like this that are helpful to other users.

Another example of a helpful review that deserves more press, Chris writes about Target, "Target has implemented 60-70% of its children's clothing line to LGBTQ and thus removed most of its neutral children's clothes."

The image of the review shared on social media.

Another useful example, Michele, wrote about Frito-Lay Inc and said, "Affiliated with Women's Sports Foundation who supports transgender males to compete against women."

The Value of Reviews

It is reviews like the ones above that help other users learn about the business and move the woke meter to its appropriate place. It allows other users to research them to make a decision they are comfortable with.

We are grateful for the reviews of businesses because we simply do not know every decision every business makes in real-time. But our users often do. So our message to you is "Keep doing what you're doing."

You are helping people align their dollars with their beliefs.
