North Miami, FL: Gianno Caldwell, a Fox News political analyst, was told he was not welcome to return to the Paradis Books and Bread eatery by management because his conservative political beliefs “did not align” with theirs.

Caldwell, a conservative black American, fired back on social media and compared the troubling experience as a “Jim Crow” type event.

Jim Crow, a character that formed following the end of the Civil War, now represents a time where customs and laws oppress blacks.

Caldwell took to Twitter and posted, “I can’t believe what just happened. I met up with friends for breakfast at Paradis Books and Bread in North Miami & while we were having discussions about politics we were told by the owner that we were not welcomed there because we aren’t politically aligned. Outrageous.”

The restaurant issued a statement in response and claimed that Caldwell and his group were speaking loudly. The eatery also claimed the group discussed “troubling” topics related to Roe V. Wade in addition to speaking of women in degrading ways.

Caldwell appeared on Fox News’ “Hannity”, one of their most highly rated shows, and told Hannity that the eatery’s statement was inaccurate. He cleared the air and told Hannity, “I met up with some folks that live in my building here in Miami, my first time ever hanging out with them, first time hanging out at this particular establishment. What we talked about was Fox. 'How do you like working at Fox' was their question to me. ‘Are you a conservative?’ In fact, I am.”

He continued, “Then the owner comes over to the table and she says, 'I’ve been listening to your conversation and you are not welcome here'. And I said, ‘did I say anything to you that triggered you?’ She said, ‘No, we’re just not politically aligned.’”

Another point of contention from Caldwell is why the establishment was eavesdropping in the first place. In any restaurant, there is an expected level of privacy that should be adhered to. But Caldwell told Hannity that his conversation was not her, or anyone’s business.

A Jim Crow Type of Experience

Caldwell then explained how the entire situation was reminiscent of segregation and discrimination. In the Fox News interview, Caldwell said, “What she did to me was plain and simple discrimination. Again, this is modern-day Jim Crow. If you don’t go with what the left wants you to go with, if you don’t follow their narrative completely, then you’re in trouble in their eyes. And that should not be the case for any American.”

He continued, “It doesn’t matter what color you are [whether] you’re white, black or indifferent. You should not be discriminated against.”

And he is absolutely correct, you should never be discriminated against.

The racism of the left is endemic and pervasive. If someone of a certain race doesn't think the way that white liberals want them to, they are considered by the left to be "uppity" and confronted for their failure to conform to the liberals' desires.
