Eventbrite Cancels Veteran Charity Event Without Notice - Anti 2A Agenda Possibly at Play
A veteran 5K ruck march event organized to raise money for a nonprofit organization to improve mental health was suddenly canceled by Eventbrite without notice just two weeks before the event - unofficial reason may be linked to anti- second amendment agenda.
Montgomery, TX: A fundraising event that used the Eventbrite platform to organize and sell tickets for the event had their account canceled without notice. Was it due to being woke?
The host of the event, Alpha Elite Performance Outdoors, is a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit organization that takes special operations veterans to a variety of adventures to help build camaraderie and improve mental health.
Like all veteran nonprofit organizations, they fight hard to raise money and continue their mission to help veterans to reduce the suicide epidemic within the veteran community.
The Alpha Elite nonprofit's founder, Travis Wilson, decided to host a charity 5K Ruck March event to raise money to help more veterans.
The event is scheduled for March 4th in Montgomery, Texas. Hundreds of participants have been registering for the event for months now using the well-known Eventbrite event-organizing platform.
But with only two weeks left, Eventbrite management decided to cancel the event from their platform.
What's most troubling is that founder Travis Wilson wasn't given any type of notice, warning or even follow up.
"Two weeks before our March 4 military event Eventbrite, without warning, deleted our Eventbrite account and refunded those that signed up for our event. We are scrambling to get the event on our own platform so people can sign up again." Travis said.
He continued, "They refunded everyone - that's how we found out."
According to Travis, Eventbrite said they don't allow weapons to be involved. The fundraising event is raffling off two weapons as part of their fundraising efforts.
Common sense questions why Eventbrite would be concerned about the event details - especially if the event complies with all local, state and federal laws, which it does. In fact, if you go to the Eventbrite website under the Raffles, Sweepstakes and Giveaways Policy page, there is no mention of weapons being a condition of canceling an event.
Anti-Second Amendment?
But there is some speculation that Eventbrite is a liberal-owned organization who doesn't believe in the second amendment and gun rights. It is very possible that someone on the management team came across the details of the fundraiser and put their personal agendas ahead of the organization's primary function - a form of woke-ness and clear discrimination.
The team for Alpha Elite Performance Outdoors is still questioning Eventbrite's motives, and vows to get some answers.
